Job Description
A growing rural health dermatology practice with multiple site openings across North Carolina — including Carolina Beach, Dunn, Tabor City, Rockingham, Garner, Wendell, Youngsville, Leland, and Jacksonville — is seeking an experienced Dermatology Nurse Practitioner (DCNP or FNP) for a full-time permanent medical dermatology role. This is an independent, outpatient-only position focused exclusively on medical dermatology in underserved communities, with a supervising Board-Certified Dermatologist available remotely via phone and Zoom.
The procedural scope is broad and clinically rich — shave, punch, and excisional biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion removal, wound care, full-body skin exams, and dermatopathology interpretation — ideal for an experienced, self-directed dermatology NP who wants to build long-term patient relationships and expand access to specialty care in communities that need it most.

- Perform comprehensive dermatologic evaluations and full-body skin exams
- Diagnose and manage acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, fungal infections, rashes, skin cancers, and precancerous lesions

- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation

- Active, unrestricted North Carolina NP license
- National NP certification required
- Minimum 1 year post-rotation dermatology experience under a Board-Certified Dermatologist required

- Strong procedural skills — biopsies, cryotherapy, lesion removal preferred
- Comfortable practicing independently with remote physician supervision
- Familiarity with dermatoscopy and EMR systems preferred
