Plant Manager
This position reporting to the President is a key position, responsible for overseeing all plant activities required to meet business objectives. The Plant Manager is responsible for providing mentorship and developing strategic plans to meet organizational objectives in a cost-effective manner. The incumbent will work to drive continuous improvement, optimization of processes and motivating employee productivity while maximizing stewardship, safety and quality.
Working closely with the management group, this person will:
- Plan, organize, direct and manage optimum day-to-day operations of the plant facilities which may include implementing improvements to the production process,
- Implement, monitor and control the production schedule while providing a clear sense of direction and focus on the production line,
- Monitor incidents, re-work and errors to determine root cause and develop corrective actions to mitigate repeating errors in the future,
- Lead the development of department procedures and policies in order to increase efficiencies, decrease resource waste and exceed customer expectations,
- Manage and monitor the tool crib, yard and maintenance department to ensure compliance, accurate schedules and regulatory requirements are maintained,
- Maintain and develop effective and respectful relationships with supervisors and departments that are overseen,
- Implement production, purchasing and manufacturing strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives set out by senior management,
- Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments,
- Implement and enforce company policies,
- Develop professional relationships and maintain regular communication with all coworkers

Candidate Qualifications:
- Degree in Business or related field is considered an asset,
- 10 years of experience in construction and/or manufacturing is required,
- At least 5 years of experience in a manger or formal leadership position,
- Job-related contacts both within and outside of the organization
- Purchasing and Production Supervisors,
- Engineering, Sales, HR
