Senior User Experience Designer (ID#5363)

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a UX Designer to lead the design of intuitive, user-centered digital experiences across enterprise platforms. This role collaborates closely with business stakeholders, marketing, communications, and development teams to design and deliver cross-platform user interfaces that align with brand and customer experience goals. The position drives the end-to-end UX lifecycle, from discovery and conceptualization to implementation and continuous improvement, leveraging user insights and performance data to enhance usability and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Uses critical thinking skills, researches, analyses and solves complex user/system interactions that align with desired business outcomes.
• Collaborates and interacts effectively to earn trust, persuade and motivate stakeholders, product owners and team members, through visual, verbal and written communications.
• Executes all visual and workflow design stages from concept to final hand-off by creating personas, journey maps, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, site maps, prototypes, and mockups.
• Challenges the validity of requirements, proposes options, articulates and justifies design decisions through an intimate understanding of the business goals and by using techniques such as design thinking principles.
• Optimizes user-interface designs across multiple devices that are compelling, are intuitive and well thought through with an extraordinary attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Improves efficiency and effectiveness of the user experience using data collection and analysis techniques such as A/B testing, focus groups during product development.
• Reviews and analyses production data to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the user experience when continued investment is warranted.
• Leads stakeholders and DevOps members to identify opportunities to deliver consistent user experiences across business areas and across platforms.
• Leads strategy and options development for transitioning internal and external users to a new user experience and contribute to the implementation strategy.
• Leads and develops presentations of designs for review and approval at various levels including senior levels.
• Champions UX/UI methodologies and best practices across the organization.
• Develops and maintains a living style guidelines for design patterns and UI components use by business engineers and software engineers.
• Champions and coaches coding for front end tools and frameworks such as CSS, HTML, Angular etc.
• Provides estimates for DevOps backlog.
• Participates in team and effort activities as needed, backlog grooming, sprint planning, team retrospectives and providing feedback on overall platform and program improvements. This includes working with the Scrum master, product owner, the DevOps team, and community of engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, interaction design or other related disciplines.
• Extensive experience leading the UX design life cycle, user research, discovery, conceptualization and implementation
• Extensive experience developing and maintaining a living style guide of design patterns and UI components.
• Extensive experience developing intuitive and compelling interface designs of a system, optimized for use across devices.
