Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced L2 Network Security Engineer (WAF & SSLO) with strong hands-on expertise in F5 BIG-IP platforms. The role involves managing, monitoring, and securing enterprise web applications and SSL traffic in a highly regulated BFSI environment, ensuring protection against modern web threats and maintaining compliance standards.

Mandatory Skills (Strict Requirement)

• Hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM, ASM/WAF, SSLO)
• Strong knowledge of Web Application Firewall (WAF) concepts and policy tuning
• Experience in SSL/TLS traffic inspection and orchestration (SSLO)
• Solid understanding of network security principles and L2 troubleshooting
• Real-time production support experience in enterprise environments

Key Responsibilities Operations & Support

• Provide Level 2 support for F5 BIG-IP platforms (WAF/ASM & SSLO)
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security events
• Handle incidents, alerts, and service requests as per SLA

Security & Incident Management

• Analyze and troubleshoot web application security incidents
• Perform first-level diagnostics and issue resolution
• Escalate complex issues to L3 team and vendor TAC when required
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend remediation

WAF & SSLO Management

• Deploy and manage WAF security policies and exceptions
• Perform policy tuning and optimization
• Configure and manage SSL Orchestrator (SSLO) for traffic inspection
• Implement configurations for new applications based on security guidelines

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure adherence to security policies and regulatory standards
• Maintain documentation including:
• SOPs
• Runbooks
• Knowledge base articles

Collaboration

• Work with cross-functional teams (Security, Infra, Application teams)
• Coordinate with stakeholders for incident resolution and improvements

Technical Skills Required

• F5 BIG-IP Modules: LTM, ASM (WAF), SSLO
• Strong knowledge of:
• HTTP/HTTPS protocols
• SSL/TLS encryption
• Web security threats (OWASP Top 10)
• Experience in:
• Firewall and network security concepts
• Incident troubleshooting and analysis
• Basic networking knowledge (Routing, Switching, TCP/IP)

Certifications (Mandatory – Any 2 Required Before Joining)

• CEH / CCNA Security / CCNP Security
• F5 Certifications:
• F5-CA (Certified Administrator)
• F5-CTS (Certified Technical Specialist)

Education

• B.E / B.Tech / BCA / Master’s in CS/IT (Regular Only)

Additional Requirements

• Immediate joiners preferred (Notice ≤ 30 days)
• Candidates must be open to 24x7 rotational shifts
• Only candidates with relevant WAF + SSLO experience will be considered

• Strong troubleshooting mindset with L2 support experience
• Hands-on in F5 WAF & SSL Orchestration in production environments
• Experience in BFSI / regulated environments (preferred)
• Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
