Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)

NSCI is a prestigious club and we are seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead the human capital strategy of our CLUB based in Mumbai. The CHRO will play a pivotal role in driving talent acquisition, employee engagement, and club growth, while ensuring alignment of HR policies with regulatory requirements and business goals.
Role Purpose
The CHRO will be responsible for shaping the Club's people strategy, culture, leadership capability, and employee experience while ensuring alignment with NSCI Club's vision, values, and member-centric service standards.
This role goes beyond traditional HR management and serves as a strategic business partner responsible for building a high-performing, engaged, future-ready workforce and a culture that attracts, develops, and retains exceptional talent.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic People Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive People Strategy aligned with the Club's growth objectives.
- Partner with the Managing Committee, and business leaders on organizational effectiveness and workforce planning.
- Developing and implementing HR strategies and policies that support the hospitality industry which meet overall business objectives.
- Build a future-ready workforce capable of adapting to changing business and member expectations.
- Leading the recruitment process, ensuring the attraction and retention of top talent across all company levels.
- Act as a trusted advisor on culture, leadership, succession, and organizational transformation.
- Design and drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, belonging, and workplace satisfaction.
- Create an exceptional employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and service excellence.
Leadership Development
- Build leadership capability across all levels of the organization.
- Establish succession planning and leadership pipeline programs.
- Develop future leaders for critical positions.
· Oversee complete employee lifecycle management including onboarding, confirmations, transfers, performance management, and exits.
· Overseeing employee training and development programs to enhance skills and career growth opportunities.
· Managing performance management processes, ensuring that senior staff receive constructive feedback and recognition.
· Collaborating with senior leadership to address workforce planning, succession planning, and organisational development needs.
Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
- Build a strong employer brand positioning NSCI Club as an employer of choice.
- Develop innovative talent attraction and retention strategies.
- Lead executive hiring and critical talent acquisition initiatives.
- Ensure diversity in hiring and talent development practices.
· Oversee complete employee lifecycle management including onboarding, confirmations, transfers, performance management, and exits.
Performance & Talent Management
- Design high-performance management systems.
- Establish clear accountability and goal-setting frameworks.
- Drive talent reviews and succession planning processes.
- Identify and develop high-potential employees.
Learning & Organizational Development
- Develop learning strategies that support business growth.
- Create leadership development and capability-building programs.
- Lead organizational design and workforce transformation initiatives.
- Promote continuous learning and skill enhancement.
Compensation, Benefits & Rewards
- Ensure competitive and equitable compensation structures.
- Design recognition and rewards programs aligned with performance and values.
- Benchmark compensation against industry standards.
Qualifications
- MBA / Master's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Business Management, or related field.
- Certifications in Leadership Development, Executive Coaching, Organizational Development, Change Management, or Human Capital Strategy preferred.
Experience
- 12+ years of progressive HR and People Leadership experience.
- Proven experience as a CHRO, CPO, HR Head, or Senior People Leader.
- Experience in hospitality, luxury services, clubs, hotels, member-based organizations, lifestyle brands, or large service organizations preferred.

- Strategic thinking with a strong understanding of business and HR alignment.
- Expertise in talent management, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Proficiency in HR technology and data analytics.
