Full-Time Farm Manager / Foreman

Location: Hopewell, New Jersey

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (Full-Time)

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, responsible, and independent Farm Manager / Foreman to oversee the daily operation of a private horse farm. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in maintaining a well-run facility, and appreciates a quiet, structured farm environment.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, dependable, and capable of managing daily priorities with minimal supervision while ensuring the highest standards of horse care and farm maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

Horse & Barn Management

• Daily stall cleaning and barn upkeep
• Feeding and watering horses according to established schedules
• Turning horses in and out of paddocks as needed
• Monitoring horse health and reporting concerns promptly
• Maintaining clean and organized feed, tack, and storage areas
• Managing water systems, fencing, gates, and general barn functionality
• Ensuring a safe and orderly environment for horses and staff

Farm Operations & Maintenance

• Routine farm maintenance and property upkeep
• Managing paddocks, pastures, and turnout areas
• Operating basic farm equipment and tools safely
• Assisting with seasonal projects and improvements
• Coordinating and prioritizing daily farm tasks
• Identifying maintenance needs and addressing them proactively
• Maintaining a clean, professional appearance throughout the property

Qualifications

• Previous horse farm, agricultural, or farm management experience preferred
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and complete work efficiently
• Comfortable performing physical labor in various weather conditions
• Dependable, trustworthy, and detail-oriented
• Positive attitude and willingness to take ownership of responsibilities
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull farm-related materials and equipment

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Hopewell, New Jersey
• Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday
• Ability to safely handle horses and perform routine farm duties
