We're currently seeking motivated individuals to join us as Entry-Level Plant Operators with ample opportunities for growth and advancement. As an Entry-Level Plant Operator, you will begin by learning the fundamentals of plant operations under the guidance of experienced professionals. You will assist in the operation and maintenance of our manufacturing facility. Shift/Hours/Location: Mon-Thurs, 6am-4:30pm, Onsite, Moses Lake

What You Will Be Working On

You will begin by learning the fundamentals of plant operations under the guidance of experienced professionals.

  • Monitors the production process and ensures efficiency of systems and equipment.
  • Prepare product containers (bottles, drums, totes, etc.) for filling referencing all appropriate specs and work orders.
  • Formulate and batch product according to customer specifications.
  • Fill container with product following clean room requirements.
  • Prepare product for shipment.
  • Document plant processes and record production data.
  • Transport full and empty product containers in various sizes with the assistance of industrial equipment.
  • Train uncertified Chemical Operators according to procedures.
  • Use correct tool/ergonomics when handling or moving any raw materials, chemicals, components, equipment or finished goods.
  • Stock product and packaging supplies.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in order to maintain a safe clean work environment utilizing 5s standards.
  • Perform necessary tasks and work hours needed to accomplish departmental and company goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of computers and MS Office software.
  • Working knowledge of arithmetic and grammar.
  • Demonstrated ability to:
  • Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in order to meet established deadlines.
  • Work as a team and/or independently.
  • Perform tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of chemical manufacturing experience.

Salary & Benefits

Summary Pay Range

Chemical Operator I: $22-$25/hour

Chemical Operator II: $24-$30/hour

Chemical Operator III: $27-$33/hour

WORKING CONDITIONS

Duties are generally performed indoors in a high purity manufacturing environment. The noise level in the manufacturing work environment is occasionally loud. When working in the presence of safety hazards, the employee is expected to follow company safety rules and use proper personal protective equipment such as: hardhat, safety glasses and full leather shoes, etc. Employees will work in a covered Process Safety Management (PSM) environment containing threshold quantities of flammable liquids and/or gasses that have a potential for fire or explosion. Employees working in this environment are required to be free from devices that are not considered intrinsically safe. Examples of devices that may not be intrinsically safe include Insulin Pumps, Pacemakers, Pain Management devices, etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
