Position Title: Campus Video Editor Fellow Reports to: Campus Creator Lead Job Type: Paid Fellowship Compensation: $25/hr plus up to $500/month home office expense reimbursement Time commitment: Full-time, 6 month fellowship Location: 100% Remote About MPU More Perfect Union is an advocacy, journalism, and education organization with a mission to build power for the working class. About the Position We are looking for a Video Editor Fellow who will focus on video editing for our newly created Campus Program, More Perfect University — editing a range of video formats across social media formats, including breaking news coverage, videos from the picket line, on-camera explainers, and concise, shareable YouTube shorts. Editing skills are essential for the role as well as a passion for digital video and economic justice, strong time management and self-sufficiency, and a desire to learn in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Core Responsibilities: Edit videos on a quick timeline; Pull b-roll, news headlines, images and other media for videos; Complete assignments from supervisor and colleagues and meet deadlines; Maintain close communication with supervisor and video producer fellow, to ensure quick turnarounds; Perform other duties as assigned. Experience/Qualifications: Proficiency with Adobe Premiere; Proficiency with in-platform editing tools on TikTok and Instagram; After Effects experience a plus; Familiarity with national politics and labor issues; A passion for economic justice and workers rights; Strong understanding of social media, email etiquette and exceptional interpersonal communication skills; Producing, scripting, research or development experience a plus; Available full-time hours and ability to excel in a remote - work from home environment; Ability to operate in a nimble environment.
