Job Description
As an HR Manager at Metalegal Advocates, you will be responsible for independently leading and strengthening the HR function within the organization. Your main focus will be on streamlining, strengthening, and building scalable HR systems, processes, and organizational practices in collaboration with the leadership team. **Key Responsibilities:** - **HR Infrastructure:** - Review existing HR processes and strengthen policies, SOPs, workflows, and overall HR systems. - **Recruitment & Talent Management:** - Manage end-to-end recruitment processes through Zoho Recruit, including sourcing, interview coordination, offer management, onboarding, and structuring the hiring process. - **Employee Lifecycle Management:** - Independently manage attendance, leave, onboarding, confirmations, payroll coordination, exits, and employee records using Zoho People. - **Performance Management:** - Coordinate and strengthen appraisal processes, probation evaluations, feedback mechanisms, performance discussions, and improvement monitoring systems. - **Compliance & Governance:** - Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, gratuity, professional tax, POSH requirements, and other applicable labor law obligations. - **Employee Engagement & Communication:** - Drive employee engagement initiatives, internal communication practices, organizational coordination, and HR responsiveness. - **HR Reporting & Operational Insights:** - Prepare HR MIS dashboards and reports related to headcount, attrition, recruitment, leave, and operational trends for management review. **Qualifications Required:** - MBA in HR or equivalent post-graduate qualification. - Minimum 5 years of hands-on HR experience, including independently handling core HR operations. - Strong working knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory compliance requirements. - Prior experience in a law firm, consulting firm, CA firm, or other professional services environment will be an added advantage. - Experience in process-building, operational structuring, and HR system implementation will be preferred. In addition to the above, we are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and structured individual who is comfortable working closely with the leadership team. You should possess practical problem-solving ability, an ownership mindset, operational maturity, and the ability to independently manage and strengthen HR systems in a fast-paced professional environment.
