Job Summary

Meltech Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Executive to lead and oversee federal ground-up (build) and vertical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This role requires a hands-on leader with real field experience, capable of managing sitework, foundations, structural systems, and full building construction, while maintaining strict compliance with federal requirements.

Do not apply if you do not meet the following requirements:

• Direct experience managing ground-up / vertical construction projects (not limited to interiors or tenant fit-outs)
• Proven experience with sitework, utilities, excavation, foundations, and structural construction (steel/concrete)
• Active Secret Clearance (required)
• Experience managing federal construction projects (GSA, VA, DoD, etc.)
• Strong field coordination and subcontractor management experience
• Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and real-time jobsite issues

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple federal construction projects from start to finish
• Oversee daily construction operations and field coordination
• Ensure proper sequencing of trades (site → structure → finishes)
• Manage subcontractors, schedules, and performance onsite
• Track project budgets, costs, and forecasting
• Handle change orders, REAs, and contract compliance
• Coordinate with government clients, CORs, and contracting officers
• Maintain all project documentation (RFIs, submittals, reports, closeout)
• Ensure compliance with FAR, safety standards, and quality control processes
• Lead project teams and support overall project execution

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction project management experience
• Strong background in federal construction
• Proven experience managing ground-up projects
• Experience with Sage 300, Procore, Primavera, or similar systems
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• PMP certification
• USACE CQM certification (or equivalent)
• Experience in secure or occupied federal facilities

Work Location

Landover, MD with travel to project sites as required
