Reporting to the Communications Officer, the Digital Marketing Administrator for the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences performs duties related to digital media, including web, social media, and multimedia. The role supports the implementation of communications activities and initiatives aligned with the faculty’s strategic objectives and priorities. Provide support to Faculty stakeholders in digital marketing, including website design, graphic design, and social media. Duties and Responsibilities Promote the Faculty of Dentistry ‘s research, teaching, innovations and accomplishments via Web, social media, and other digital communication channels. Support the Faculty’s digital communities by using analytical research to inform and implement strategies that drive community growth and engagement in digital outreach initiatives. Assist in implementing the faculty’s communications plan. Improve the design and usability of websites across the Faculty, including ensuring that all information is kept accurate, up-to-date, complete, and in compliance with McGill’s Digital Standards. Coordinate and implement the redesign and/or review of websites across the Faculty, including consulting stakeholders, producing and publishing content, and overseeing user-experience testing. Implement an operational structure that will allow the faculty to effectively implement web communication to increase the faculty’s profile (e.g. student recruitment, advancement of research and innovation, community dental outreach programs, etc.) Serve as the Faculty’s social media specialist by creating and implementing content strategies, publishing, and managing content across social media platforms, ensuring alignment with Faculty and University strategic objectives and priorities, and assisting in the preparation of annual social media and communications reports. Work with the Faculty Communications Officer and CIR to implement and execute marketing campaigns across communication channels, including the creation of promotional materials. Provide support on a variety of communication activities and organize events, with an emphasis on digital media. Executing the promotional needs of its members in a timely manner including the creation of graphics for websites and social media. Work with the Faculty Communications Officer to implement best practices and processes to support the faculty’s communication needs. Provide photoshoot and video-editing support for the faculty. Engage in the Faculty’s and University’s communications communities, both to ensure alignment with respect to branding, emerging priorities, style guides and quality standards, and to cultivate a network of helpful professional resources. Support key Faculty events by creating event communication materials, assisting in event-planning, etc. Education and Experience DEC III Three (3) years' related experience Other Qualifying Skills and Abilities Experience in social media management, web content creation, graphic design and photography. Experience in website maintenance and management (ideally within the Drupal platform). Basic knowledge of Google Analytics and HTML. Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro. Familiarity with photo and video production on digital/ social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.). Understanding of, and interest in, the analysis of data provided by social media platforms and the identification of trends. Experience creating and working with brands and thematic campaigns. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent English and French language skills, spoken and written.
