B2B Sales Account Representative (Career Opportunity)

We are seeking a professional, consultative B2B Sales Account Representative to join our head office team in Shawnigan Lake, BC.

This is a career-level opportunity for an experienced sales professional who excels in building long-term business relationships, managing accounts, and developing new opportunities through structured, value-based selling.

Our company supplies specialized retail solutions to major international retail organizations. Our products help improve fresh food merchandising, reduce product waste, enhance presentation quality, and support operational efficiency and sustainability in retail environments.

This role is best suited to someone who enjoys becoming a trusted advisor to customers over time, not a transactional or high-volume sales environment.

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing and growing an established portfolio of B2B accounts while also identifying new business opportunities in North American and international markets.

This role requires a combination of:

  • relationship management
  • consultative selling
  • disciplined follow-up
  • structured account development
  • proactive communication with decision-makers

Approximately 50% of the role involves structured phone and virtual communication with existing customers, distributors, and qualified prospects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of established B2B accounts
  • Develop long-term relationships with retail customers and distribution partners
  • Proactively engage accounts via phone, email, and virtual meetings
  • Identify new opportunities through research, outreach, and relationship development
  • Conduct needs assessments and recommend appropriate product solutions
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and structured follow-ups
  • Maintain accurate and consistent CRM records (Zoho CRM)
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to support account growth strategies
  • Support distributor and partner networks with product education and sales support
  • Contribute to forecasting, pipeline management, and territory planning
  • Ensure a high standard of professional communication and customer service

What You Bring

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or consultative business development
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships and grow accounts over time
  • Experience in industrial, retail supply, manufacturing, distribution, or related sectors (asset)
  • Strong phone communication skills in clear, professional English
  • Demonstrated negotiation, listening, and relationship-building ability
  • Experience working with CRM systems (Zoho preferred)
  • Strong organization and time-management skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Mandatory Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following:

  • Currently reside on Vancouver Island within reasonable commuting distance of Shawnigan Lake, BC
  • Be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Be prepared to provide clear details of work authorization, residency status, or work permit eligibility upon request
  • Possess excellent spoken English communication skills for professional phone-based client interaction
  • Be willing and able to work on-site full-time
