Job Description
Our client, an industry leader in outdoor power equipment support, is seeking a dedicated Technical Support Specialist to join their team. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be part of the Office support team, assisting STIHL dealers and end users. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, technical aptitude, and a customer-focused mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Technical Support Specialist
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Pay Range: $22-23/hour
Shift: 10:00am - 6:00pm, Monday through Friday
What's the Job?
- Provide high-level technical support to dealers via phone, email, or web chat, including troubleshooting and repair guidance for the full STIHL product range.
- Assist end users with product selection, application support, maintenance, and conflict resolution to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Utilize Customer Relations Management (CRM) software to document interactions and update customer records accurately.
- Participate in team training sessions and meetings to stay current on product knowledge, policies, and support procedures.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support team objectives.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or GED required; advanced degrees in related disciplines are preferred.
- Work experience in an outdoor power equipment dealer or related industry knowledge.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts to dealers and end users effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, serving as the voice of STIHL to customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, SharePoint, and live chat tools.
