Job Description
Maine Group – Event Management Inc. is seeking a part-time Events & Operations Assistant to support the planning and delivery of large-scale consumer events across Canada and internationally.
This role combines administrative support with hands-on event coordination. You will work closely with the event organizers to help keep projects organised, communication flowing, and timelines on track in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for someone reliable, proactive, and highly organised who is comfortable working with technology, confident in communication, and able to take ownership of tasks without constant direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with vendors, partners, and external companies, including managing and responding to selected correspondence
- Assist with scheduling, calendars, and general administrative tasks
- Support vendor and guest coordination, including follow-ups and confirmations
- Help prepare documents, schedules, and internal planning materials
- Assist with social media posting and basic content updates
- Assist with online e-commerce
- Support event planning and logistics in the lead-up to shows
- Provide on-site support during events as required
- Identify gaps or issues and proactively help resolve them
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Clear and professional written communication
- Confident and experienced with computers, digital tools, and online platforms
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative
- Willingness and ability to travel, including access to a valid passport and ability to travel internationally
- Flexibility to work additional hours during peak periods, particularly in the lead-up to and during events
- Experience or interest in live events, entertainment, or popular culture is not required, but would be considered an asset
- Previous admin, assistant, or event experience is preferred but not required
Hours & Compensation:
- Part-time: approximately 10–15 hours per week
- Flexible working hours, with increased hours required during event periods
- Some evening and weekend availability may be required
Location:
- Based in Prince Edward Island
- Primarily remote, with in-person meetings and event support
- Travel may be required for events
