Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant (Developer)

We are looking for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in customizing, configuring, and extending Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) with a strong understanding of finance modules. You will work closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, and technical teams to design and deliver scalable solutions that optimize financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and extend Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions, focusing on Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Treasury, Budgeting, Taxation etc.).
• Ensure stability in the current operation and periodic upgrades / automations to ensure we are moving head to utilise the ERP to its maximum potential.
• Dev Environment Setup and Maintenance : Set up dev environments , including configuring VStudio for Dynamics 365 F&O development
• Configure & maintain Database backups in the dev & UAT environments with proper audit trails to ensure data security, integrity and compliance.
• Maintaining and applying the latest patches and version / module upgrades from Microsoft time to time, ensuring systems remained up-to-date and compliant with the latest features and security standards.
• Preparation / maintenance of user manuals : Preparation & maintenance of process notes / user manuals / technical diagrams etc for each and every module of MSD-365
• Periodic training sessions to new / existing users / functional or module heads for the recent changes in the modules, new features introduced and its usage, best practices to increase the efficiency of the day-to-day operations, clearing unwanted batch jobs to increase system performance etc.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design and implement integrations between Dynamics 365 and external systems / softwares / ERPs using APIs, OData, and Data Entities.
• Write efficient code in X++ , C#, and perform customizations following best practices.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across finance processes in D365.
• Participate in full SDLC including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Ensure system performance, scalability, and compliance with finance and audit requirements.
• Document technical designs, workflows, and deployment steps.
• User management, access management and role management within MSD 365 for the organisation with proper audit trail as required for audit. Also to ensure optimum utilisation of available resources / licenses to reduce annual maintenance cost of ERP.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience working on Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, with a focus on Finance module implementations/customizations .
• Successful ERP Implementation experience in at-least 2-3 medium sized firms with initial technical feasibility study till go live
• Strong expertise in X++ programming , extensions, and customizations.
• Hands-on experience with SSRS reports, data entities, batch jobs, and workflows .
• Good understanding of financial processes (GL, AP, AR, Tax, Bank, Budgeting).
• Experience with LCS (Lifecycle Services), Azure DevOps, and version control (TFVC/Git) .
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-Have:

• Exposure to Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) .
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations certification(s) .
• Knowledge of MS Dynamics 365 Supply Chain modules.
