Responsibilities

• Ensuring road safety for every driver of a tractor-trailer is a top priority that cannot be overlooked.
• Complete detailed vehicle assessments before and after trips to ensure their roadworthiness.
• Design a comprehensive plan for structuring delivery schedules that enhances productivity and maintains punctual deliveries.
• Transport shipments securely and safely by adhering to the set guidelines for handling and packaging.
• Maintain clear and productive communication with both dispatchers and customers throughout the entire delivery process.
• Ensure precise documentation for both the time invested in work and the routine maintenance of your vehicle.
• Comply with safety measures and guidelines established by the Department of Transportation to protect the well-being of staff and merchandise during transit.
• Swiftly alert authorities to any issues concerning vehicles, incidents, or infringements to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Acquire an official Class A CDL license.
• Clean driving record.
• Accomplishing a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical check-up and undertaking screening for substance abuse.
• Competence in efficiently structuring schedules and aligning responsibilities.
• Proficient in the safe and effective handling of large and heavy items during transport.
• Experienced in delivering superior customer support, proficient in establishing strong relationships with customers.
• Ensure that authorities are promptly informed of any vehicle-related issues or violations to maintain safety and adherence to regulations.

Preferred Experience:

• Dry van, also known as a box trailer, is a type of trucking trailer that is enclosed and used to haul non-perishable goods. Refrigerated, or reefer, trailers are equipped with cooling systems to transport perishable goods at controlled temperatures. Flatbed trailers have an open body with no sides or roof, commonly used for transporting oversized or oddly shaped cargo. Tanker trailers are specialized for transporting liquids or gases, with various designs based on the specific substance being transported
• Doubles/Triples, Intermodal, and Auto Hauler are examples of transportation methods that can be chosen for the relocation of goods and vehicles
• The term household goods pertains to products commonly found in homes
