Job Description
As a highly motivated Network and Cybersecurity Engineer, your role will involve designing, implementing, and securing enterprise-level networks. Your expertise in network infrastructure, firewall configuration, incident response, and vulnerability management will be essential for ensuring the high availability and reliability of LAN, WAN, and VPN solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, configuring, and maintaining LAN, WAN, and VPN solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Monitoring network traffic and implementing security controls to prevent unauthorized access, threats, and attacks.
- Configuring and managing firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Performing vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and remediation to strengthen security posture.
- Responding to security incidents, troubleshooting network issues, and providing root cause analysis.
- Collaborating with IT teams to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards.
- Documenting network diagrams, configurations, and security policies.
- Staying updated with emerging threats, technologies, and cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.).
Qualifications required for this role include:
- CCNA Certification (Required).
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 25 years of hands-on experience in networking and cybersecurity roles.
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with SIEM tools, firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.), and endpoint protection platforms.
- Familiarity with AWS and other cloud security ecosystems such as Azure & GCP is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
