We are seeking an Laboratory Technician (Equipment Maintenance) to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Rockville, MD. This is an on-site position.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide custom engineering solution and advanced equipment maintenance
TASKS/SERVICES
- Prepare materials and equipment for experiments.
- Work with a variety of routine and specialized laboratory instruments and equipment in the laboratory.
- Provides custom engineering solutions for 3-D Tissue Bioprinting Laboratory.
- Performs advanced equipment maintenance.
- Plan execute and arrange laboratory experiments, new techniques and procedures; and performs laboratory techniques relating to scientific research.
- Identifies and implements advanced specialized technologies for functional measurements in 3D tissue models, eg. muscle contraction.
- Support operation of bioprinters. Lend expertise to configuration design of new equipment purchases when needed. Whenever needed, assist with mechanical difficulties or computer software issues.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology or related discipline.
- Experience in advanced specialized functional measurements in 3D tissue models, e.g. muscle contraction, 3D printing and 3D bioprinting, CAD design. Fluoresce microscopy, and Prototyping
