JURISolutions is seeking a Junior Paralegal for a long-term opportunity with one of our government clients in Washington, DC.
Junior Paralegals will be responsible for providing support in all phases of case preparation, including discovery, trial, and legal research. Candidates must have strong analytical skills, organization and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare, organize, and summarize materials for discovery, motions, and trial
- Review documents for relevance, privilege, and accuracy
- Summarize depositions, transcripts, and case-related materials
- Conduct comparisons and trend analysis
- Maintain and track case files, exhibits, and discovery documents
- Assist with complex legal research and draft memoranda and correspondence
- Prepare spreadsheets, charts, and document compilations
- Conduct FOIA requests
- Support scheduling and recordkeeping processes
- Provide general administrative and case support as needed
Candidates must have at least 2 years of recent Paralegal experience including at least 1 year of litigation experience. A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school and a Paralegal Certificate, if your degree is not in a related field, is required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and legal software such as LexisNexis and/or Westlaw.
