Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Practical Nurse.
• Current BLS certification (Level C).
• Current or recent (in the last 2 years) experience in surgical nursing is required.
• Recent Pre op Planning experience (in the last 6 months) will be preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests.
• Demonstrated skill and knowledge of I.V. Therapy and venepuncture is required.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team and independently.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Demonstrated reliable attendance, punctuality and availability are required.
