We are looking for a Junior Site Reliability Engineer for our client in Toronto, ON

Job Title: Junior Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Strong troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of SQL and ability to write SQL queries to generate reports.
  • Experience with Site Reliability Engineering tools such as PagerDuty.
  • Understanding of one or more programming languages, databases, platforms, code management tooling, or web technologies.
  • 2 years of hands-on experience using Microsoft Copilot in a corporate or enterprise environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven, results-oriented environment while maintaining high-quality standards.

Experience

  • Experience analyzing monitoring dashboards such as Dynatrace and logging systems such as ELK.
  • Experience leading investigation and resolution of application operational failures.
  • Experience participating in release walkthrough reviews, implementation plans, and testing plans.
  • Experience creating and maintaining support documentation and operational processes.
  • Experience working collaboratively across multiple IT teams and business units.
  • Familiarity with ITSM preferred.
  • Experience with architecture or process workflow analysis and design preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform system health checks, monitoring, alerting, and take corresponding actions as required.
  • Lead investigation and analysis of application operational failures through resolution and support root cause identification.
  • Analyze system monitoring dashboards and logging tools to identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks.
  • Ensure production and maintenance of high-quality support documents and operational processes.
  • Promote innovative methods of working and implement best practices.
  • Participate in project release walkthroughs, handover specifications, implementation plans, and testing plans.
  • Write and execute SQL queries to generate reports and support analysis.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across IT partners, units, and platforms.

Should Have:

  • Familiarity with IT Service Management practices.
  • Experience with architecture or process workflow analysis and design.

Qualification and Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
