Role

Azure Infrastructure Engineer

Location:

Warren, NJ (Hybrid-3 days onsite in a week)

Role Overview

The Infrastructure Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing hybrid infrastructure solutions that span Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments.

This role ensures high availability, scalability, and security of enterprise systems through best Architecture practices while leading a technical team and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Day to Day job

Duties Infrastructure Lead:

(what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)

Architecture & Design

Lead the design and deployment of hybrid infrastructure solutions integrating Azure cloud and on-prem systems.

Develop infrastructure governance, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.

Operations & Management

Oversee daily infrastructure operations, ensuring compliance with security and performance standards.

Data Centers Management

Manage Azure services (VMs, networking, storage, Active Directory) and on-prem resources.

Manage Cloud engineering and DevOps practices

Automation & Optimization

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, and PowerShell.

Drive cost optimization and resource utilization across environments.

Collaboration

Work closely with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to optimize deployments.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to infrastructure engineers.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

Use tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and on-prem monitoring solutions for proactive incident management.

Compliance & Security

Ensure adherence to regulatory and security requirements across cloud and on-prem platforms.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum 8+ years of experience in below:

Minimum 8+ years of Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, Networking, Security stack).

Minimum 8+ years of Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.

Minimum 8+ years of Hands-on experience with on-prem Dell EMC hosts, VMware, unity storage and barcode FC switches

Minimum 8+ years of Proficiency in automation scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and CI/CD pipelines.

Minimum 8+ years of Hands on Experience of networking (firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, Vnet).

Minimum 8+years of Experience with disaster recovery and backup solutions.

Minimum 8+ years with hybrid cloud integrations and migration strategies.

Certifications:

Microsoft Certified:

Azure Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator.

Minimum 8+ years of Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools.

Familiarity with other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Soft Skills

Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Strong stakeholder management and team leadership capabilities.

Degree:

Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
