Roofer/shingler

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Shingler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing and be adept at installing shingles on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a keen eye for detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The Shingler will be responsible for ensuring that roofs are properly installed and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Install shingles on roofs according to specifications and blueprints.
• Ensure proper alignment and secure fastening of shingles to prevent leaks and damage.
• Perform caulking and sealing as needed to enhance waterproofing.
• Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively during installation.
• Assist with heavy lifting of materials, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality and compliance with building codes.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Shingler or in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading to understand project requirements.
• Experience using hand tools and equipment related to roofing tasks.
• Background in maintenance person services or carpentry is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and work at heights safely.
