Iris's direct client, one of the Top 5 Bank in Canada, is looking to hire a Backend Developer – AWS CDK for a long-term opportunity at Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid 2 -3 days onsite/week).

Our client is a Canadian multinational financial services company and the largest bank in Canada by market capitalization. Bank is serving individual consumers, small and middle market businesses and large corporations with a full range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk-management products and services.

Position: Backend Developer – AWS CDK

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2 Days in Office/week)

Duration: Long-Term Open-Ended Contract

Must Have:

Strong experience in Python (API & backend development)
Hands-on experience with AWS services: Lambda (core development), S3 (file handling), RDS/PostgreSQL (including JSONB usage), API Gateway
Experience with REST API design and integration
Strong SQL and data modeling skills
Experience with AWS CDK / infra setup
Experience working with Angular (UI integration, tables, forms)

Good-to-Have Skills:

Familiarity with Liquibase or database migration tools
Understanding of event-driven architecture / async processing
Experience in code migration/refactoring across projects
