The Inventory Manager is responsible for ensuring that inventory held at IREN’s Canadian sites is accurate, available, and aligned with operational requirements. The role focuses on site-level inventory oversight, coordination, and readiness, working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Asset Management, and Site Operations to ensure the right materials and spare parts are in the right locations and quantities to support reliable operations. Ensuring site adherence to established inventory controls, supporting accurate inventory data, and identifying risks related to stock availability.

The Inventory Manager plays a key role in strengthening inventory discipline, improving material visibility, and supporting uptime, cost control, and operational efficiency through structured, collaborative, and data-informed inventory practices, while operating in alignment with IREN’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years in inventory, materials coordination, or operations support within data center, industrial, or mission-critical environments
  • Strong understanding of maintenance and operational workflows
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams
  • Comfort working with inventory systems and data (user level)

Preferred

  • Data center or critical infrastructure experience
  • Exposure to maintenance planning or asset management practices
  • Familiarity with ERP or enterprise inventory platforms
  • Experience supporting audits or compliance activities

Job Responsibilities

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as the primary inventory interface between:
  • Site Operations
  • Maintenance Planning
  • Asset Management
  • Corporate Inventory / Supply Chain teams
  • Participate in regular reviews with Maintenance Planners and Asset Management to:
  • Validate spare parts availability
  • Highlight site-specific risks or gaps
  • Support changes to spare parts strategies
  • Communicate site inventory constraints or risks back to corporate teams to support planning and procurement decisions.

Site Inventory Oversight & Readiness

  • Ensure site inventory is accurate, visible, and operationally ready to support:
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Corrective maintenance
  • Incident and break-fix response
  • Monitor stock levels for critical and frequently used materials and escalate risks of:
  • Stockouts
  • Overstock
  • Obsolete or unused inventory
  • Validate that inventory is held in appropriate locations and conditions to support safe and efficient use.

Inventory Control & Accuracy

  • Ensure site adherence to corporate inventory processes for:
  • Goods receipt confirmation
  • Issue and return transactions
  • Location control
  • Coordinate cycle counts and spot checks with the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Review discrepancies, investigate root causes, and support corrective actions.
  • Support audits and compliance activities related to inventory and asset control.

Warehouse & Logistics Interface

  • Work closely with the Site Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to:
  • Ensure warehouse practices support inventory accuracy and traceability
  • Align on priorities for staging, kitting, and material availability
  • Escalate systemic issues impacting inventory integrity (e.g., labeling gaps, congestion, process non-compliance).
  • Support improvements to layout or material flow where inventory access or visibility is impacted.

Systems & Data Stewardship (Not System Ownership)

  • Ensure site inventory data is accurate and timely within corporate inventory systems.
  • Act as a knowledgeable site user and advocate for inventory tools and reports.
  • Identify data quality issues and work with Corporate Inventory Management to resolve them.
  • Use inventory data and reports to proactively identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities at the site.

Continuous Improvement & Operational Support

  • Identify opportunities to improve site inventory practices, material availability, and coordination with maintenance activities.
  • Support standardization across sites by feeding lessons learned back to corporate teams.
  • Contribute to incident reviews or post-event analysis where material availability was a factor.

Compensation

  • The expected base salary for this role starts at $110,000 CAD.
  • Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and market data for the region.
  • Total Compensation package may be inclusive of annual incentive bonus, and equity (long-term incentive)
