Job Description

We are looking for an Account Executive to drive new business and grow strategic accounts for our retail technology platform across India, South East Asia and the Middle East. You will sell a full-stack unified retail commerce suite spanning e-commerce, warehouse management, last-mile delivery, AI-driven decisioning and distributor/B2B commerce to mid-market and enterprise retailers and brands.

This is a hunting-focused, quota-carrying role for someone who thrives on generating and closing new business who understands how retailers and consumer brands buy technology, can navigate complex multi-stakeholder deals, and is equally comfortable positioning both SaaS subscription and on-premise / perpetual-licence commercial models. You will own the full cycle: prospecting, qualification, solutioning with pre-sales, commercial structuring, and closing.

What You'll Do

  • Generate new business, proactively prospect, generate and qualify your own pipeline through outbound outreach, networking and target-account research; this is a hunting-led role.
  • Own the full sales cycle from first touch to close across a defined territory and target-account list, carrying an individual revenue/ARR quota.
  • Sell into mid-market and enterprise accounts across Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, CPG, Apparel, Footwear, Grocery and F&B verticals.
  • Position both commercial models with confidence, SaaS subscription (OpEx) and on-premise / perpetual licence (CapEx) and tailor the structure to the customer's procurement reality.
  • Navigate multi-stakeholder buying groups, engaging CIOs, Heads of Retail, Heads of Digital, supply-chain and commercial leaders, and procurement.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales, product and solutioning teams to map customer pain to platform capability and build compelling business cases and ROI narratives.
  • Build and maintain an accurate pipeline and forecast in the CRM, with disciplined qualification and deal hygiene.
  • Negotiate pricing, proposals and contracts in partnership with commercial and legal teams.
  • Grow existing accounts through a land-and-expand motion, identifying cross-sell and up-sell across the product suite.
  • Represent the company at industry events and feed back market intelligence on competitors, pricing and buying trends across the three regions.

What You'll Bring

  • 4–7 years of B2B sales experience, with a strong track record selling retail or commerce software (SaaS and/or on-premises) to retailers and consumer brands.
  • A proven hunter with a track record of self-sourced new business, comfortable cold prospecting, opening doors and building pipeline from scratch, not just managing inbound or existing accounts.
  • Demonstrated success selling into one or more of: Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, CPG, Apparel, Footwear, Grocery, F&B.
  • Experience closing both mid-market and enterprise deals, including complex, multi-stakeholder, longer-cycle opportunities.
  • Working understanding of retail / consumer-brand operations, commerce, omnichannel, supply chain, warehousing, last-mile, or distributor/B2B commerce enough to hold a credible business conversation.
  • Command of consultative, value-based selling; comfortable building ROI and business-case narratives for finance and operations stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Hindi, written and spoken.
  • A self-starter who can operate across multiple geographies and time zones (India, SEA, ME) and is willing to travel as required.
  • Comfort with CRM tools and structured sales methodologies.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience selling across South East Asia and the Middle East, with awareness of regional buying and procurement norms.
  • Proficiency in any additional regional language relevant to SEA or ME markets.
  • Familiarity of unified commerce, OMS/WMS, last-mile/logistics tech, or distributor management / sales-force automation (DMS/SFA).
  • An existing network of relationships with retail or consumer-brand decision-makers across the target verticals.
