About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Flutter Developer with a minimum of two years of post-graduate experience to join our development team and help build high-quality cross-platform applications using Flutter. In this role, you will contribute to applications that run on mobile, web, and desktop platforms, working closely with senior developers, designers, and product managers to deliver scalable and user-friendly software.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is passionate about cross-platform development and eager to grow their skills across multiple operating systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Flutter applications for:
Mobile: iOS and Android
Web: Modern browsers
Desktop: Windows, macOS, and Linux
Write clean, readable, and maintainable Dart code
Implement UI designs using Flutter widgets and layouts
Integrate REST APIs and third-party libraries
Debug, test, and optimize application performance across platforms
Participate in code reviews and team discussions
Fix bugs and improve existing features
Learn and apply best practices in Flutter and cross-platform development

Required Skills & Qualifications

Basic to intermediate experience with Flutter and Dart
Understanding of cross-platform development concepts
Familiarity with at least one platform (iOS, Android, Web, or Desktop)
Knowledge of Git
Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON
Ability to follow UI/UX designs and specifications
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills and willingness to learn
Note that while this role is remote, it is open only to residents of Canada with valid work permits with a preference for Ontario or Nova Scotia residents.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

Experience deploying apps to:
App Store / Google Play
Web hosting platforms
Desktop installers (Windows/macOS/Linux)
Familiarity with state management (Provider)
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of responsive and adaptive UI design
Docker and containerization experience
Experience with integrating native code (C++, Rust, WebAssembly) in Flutter apps

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
