Job Description: Mid-Level Accountant

Location: Beleghata, CIT, Kolkata

Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹22,000 per month

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mid-Level Accountant to manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in accounting, good knowledge of taxation, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records while supporting business compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting entries and financial transactions
  • Prepare and maintain ledgers, cash book, and bank statements
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare invoices, bills, and vouchers
  • Assist in GST returns and basic tax compliance
  • Support in monthly and yearly financial closing
  • Maintain proper documentation and records for audits
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors when required

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software like Tally or similar tools
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of GST and taxation
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, data handling, reports)
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.Com or equivalent degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Experience in handling GST filings and reconciliations

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
