Systems Management Specialist

<p></p> <p>The<strong> Systems Management Specialist </strong>is responsible for the overall delivery of the System Architecture Plan and management of associated resources and activities to ensure that InterSystems software is delivered and deployed in line with project requirements.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul class="_2e99433a _082f4705"> <li>Execute the process of designing, reviewing and installing all the InterSystems products including TrakCare patches, releases and builds on the required customer platforms in accordance with quality assurance protocols and Service Level Agreements as agreed with the customer for software release authorization and installation.</li> <li>Administration and maintenance of hosted solutions and related infrastructure working with other teams or partners as required.</li> <li>Provide technical support for troubleshooting and performance analysis for implementations.</li> <li>Provide technical support for custom development, i.e. JavaScript, user defined functions, interfaces, reports, extracts, data migration scripts and conversions.</li> <li>Support and test of TrakCare internal and external utilities, e.g. patching tool, print service, etc.</li> <li>Assist Presales for any technical request such as architecture, configuration, hardware sizing, etc.</li> <li>Produce technical documentation such as reference materials, installation instructions, user guides, knowledge-based articles and how-to’s.</li> <li>Participate in on-site technical training and implementations activities if required.</li> <li>Take on responsibility for scripting, maintenance and verification of backups.</li> <li>Automation of routine activities (deployment of patches , environment replication , etc.. ).</li> <li>Participate in the continuous improvement of the operation processes required to delivery exceptional service quality.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul class="_2e99433a _082f4705"> <li>Server Administration: In-depth experience in configuring, implementing and administer Linux or UNIX systems (preferred: SUSE/RedHat).</li> <li>Programming and coding: ability to work directly with the source code of a system and develop solutions to improve system-level performance (strong scripting skills).</li> <li>Information security: familiarity with best practices and techniques for maintaining and improving information security.</li> <li>Problem-solving capabilities: ability to adopt creative skills and problem-solving techniques to solve problems or devise a new solution.</li> <li>Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.</li> <li>Managed mission critical infrastructures and applications.</li> <li>The candidate is also required to be available to work (when the situation requires it e.g., in case of updates of systems in use by end users) outside the usual office hours.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Desirable Skills:</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul class="_2e99433a _082f4705"> <li>Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Cacti preferred).</li> <li>Understanding of networking deployment and management, including load balancers solutions.</li> <li>Knowledge of configuration management tools as Ansible or Puppet.</li> <li>Software development environment experience.</li> <li>ITIL knowledge.</li> </ul> <p></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <hr> <p>&nbsp;</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>About InterSystems</strong></p> <p style="font-weight: 400;">InterSystems, a creative data technology provider, delivers a unified foundation for next-generation applications for healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and supply chain customers in more than 80 countries.
