Job Description

As a Finance & Operations Manager, your role will be crucial in overseeing the financial health and operational efficiency of the trading business. You will be responsible for managing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, supply chain coordination, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and audits
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and banks

Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily trading operations including procurement, inventory, and logistics
  • Ensure efficient supply chain management and timely delivery of goods
  • Monitor stock levels, inventory control, and warehouse management
  • Improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
  • Coordinate with sales and procurement teams for demand planning

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Provide financial insights and reports to senior management
  • Analyse business performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Track KPIs for both finance and operations functions

Compliance & Controls:

  • Implement internal controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • *Qualifications & Skills:**
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (CA Inter / MBA preferred)
  • 510 years of experience in finance and operations, preferably in a trading or distribution company
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities

In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, experience in import/export or international trading companies and knowledge of taxation, customs, and compliance in the trading business would be preferred.
