Job Role

Review and approve insurance proposals

Study customer profiles, risk exposure, and claims history

Approve, decline, or modify applications based on risk

Solve escalated underwriting cases on time

Work closely with sales, claims, and compliance teams

Track portfolio performance and spot risk trends

Guide and mentor junior underwriters

Prepare reports and MIS for management

Build strong ties with insurers, brokers, and clients

Skills Required

Good understanding of underwriting and insurance rules

Strong analytical and risk assessment ability

Clear and confident decision-making

Good communication skills

Able to handle complex cases on your own

Comfortable with MS Excel and insurance software

Experience in leading a team
