Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional customer service in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for the food industry. This role involves managing staff, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring the overall success of the restaurant.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate restaurant staff, including interviewing and hiring new team members
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Manage daily restaurant operations, including POS systems such as Micros POS
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Monitor food safety compliance and maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
- Oversee cash handling procedures and financial transactions accurately
- Lead team management efforts, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Implement strategies to improve efficiency, sales, and customer satisfaction
- Maintain inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers as needed
- Uphold hospitality standards and create a welcoming environment for guests
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS; barista or hotel experience is a plus
- Supervising experience with demonstrated team management skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Knowledge of food industry regulations, food handling, and kitchen operations
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
- Experience with interviewing and onboarding new employees
- Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is highly preferred
