Job Description
Commercial Analytics Consultant (Pharma)
- Rockville, MD (hybrid - 3-4 days onsite)
- Full-Time | 3 Interview Rounds
We are seeking a Commercial Analytics Consultant to support high-impact engagements within the pharmaceutical industry. This role will focus on delivering advanced analytics and reporting solutions that drive commercial performance, inform strategy, and support decision-making across sales and market access teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards to track sales performance, market trends, and access metrics
- Analyze pharmaceutical datasets (IQVIA, claims, specialty pharmacy data) to identify insights related to market share, patient access, and prescribing behavior
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for business and field teams
- Partner with commercial leaders and stakeholders to define KPIs and support strategic initiatives
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets
- Work within cloud data platforms (Snowflake or Databricks) to support scalable analytics solutions
- Contribute to the development of AI-driven reporting and analytics tools
- Lead or mentor junior team members and support global delivery efforts
Required Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard development, performance optimization)
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Experience working with pharma or life sciences data (IQVIA, claims, patient-level data, etc.)
- Background in commercial analytics, sales analytics, or consulting
- Ability to communicate insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in pharma or life sciences consulting/analytics
- Experience working with field teams and commercial leadership
- Exposure to AI/GenAI tools or advanced analytics solutions
- Experience leading or collaborating with distributed/global teams
