Duration: 12 month contract, potential extensions
Shift: Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 6 PM with occasional Saturdays
Requirements
- OSHA 10 construction certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Hands-on data center experience
- Structured cabling experience (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber)
- Experience installing, and testing copper and fiber cables
- Ability to read and follow structured cabling drawings and labeling standards
- Comfortable working in live data center environments
- Basic troubleshooting experience for cabling and connectivity issues
- Ability to work on ladders, lift equipment, and stand for long periods
Day-To-Day:
- Cable Installation: Pull and route cables throughout the facility, ensuring proper placement and secure connections.
- Label and document cabling accurately.
- Rack and Stack: Assemble and install network racks, panels, and related hardware according to layout specifications.
- Technical Labor Support: Assist with general construction-related technical tasks, such as equipment setup, material handling, and site preparation. Troubleshoot connectivity and cabling issues.
- Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA and site-specific safety guidelines, including PPE requirements and metal detector checks.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and other technicians to meet daily production goals and maintain project timelines.
Pay: $20-24/hr (Based on experience, certifications, education).
