Job Role: Paid Media Tagging Specialist

Job Location: Any Infosys BPM location

Experience: 3+ yrs

Role Overview

We are looking for a Paid Media Tagging Specialist with strong hands-on experience in digital analytics implementation, paid media tracking, and tag management. The role is critical to ensuring accurate data collection, conversion tracking, attribution, and performance measurement across paid media platforms.

The ideal candidate will work closely with paid media, analytics, product, and tech teams to design, implement, audit, and maintain tracking frameworks that support business and marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Paid Media Tracking & Tagging

  • Implement, manage, and maintain paid media tracking tags across platforms such as:
  • Google Ads
  • Meta (Facebook / Instagram)
  • LinkedIn Ads
  • Programmatic platforms (DV360, etc.)
  • Ensure accurate conversion tracking for leads, sales, microconversions, and custom events.
  • Configure and validate remarketing, audience, and floodlight tags.

Tag Management

  • Own end-to-end implementation using Google Tag Manager (Web & Server-side preferred).
  • Create and manage:
  • Triggers
  • Variables
  • Tags
  • Custom JavaScript (as required)
  • Maintain a clean, scalable tagging architecture aligned with best practices.

Analytics & Measurement

  • Configure and manage GA4 events, conversions, parameters, and data layers.
  • Ensure alignment between GA4, ad platforms, and CRM systems.
  • Support attribution models, funnel tracking, and cross-domain tracking.
  • Assist with troubleshooting data discrepancies between platforms.

Quality Assurance & Audits

  • Conduct regular tagging audits to ensure:
  • Debug tracking issues related to:
  • Broken tags
  • Duplicate firing
  • Attribution mismatches

Documentation & Stakeholder Communication

  • Create and maintain tracking documentation, implement guides, and change logs.
  • Clearly explain technical tracking concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support reporting and insights teams by ensuring data reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in paid media tagging, analytics implementation, or marketing technology.
  • Proven experience working with performance marketing teams.

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Google Tag Manager (mandatory)
  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
  • Google Ads conversion tracking
  • Meta pixel and CAPI (preferred)
  • Good understanding of:
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript (for tagging use cases)
  • Data layers and event-based tracking
  • Familiarity with:
  • Server-side tagging (preferred)

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to identify data gaps and tracking inconsistencies.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, tech, and analytics teams.
  • Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Floodlight, CM360, or DV360
  • Exposure to advanced attribution models
  • Experience in eCommerce or lead-generation businesses
  • Knowledge of SQL or Big Query (basic)
