Role- Finance Lead
Toronto– Hybrid
6 Months contract with possible extension
Technical Skills:
The Finance Lead / FP&A Lead will oversee end-to-end financial planning, budgeting, and quarterly forecasting across multiple business units. This role owns full P&L responsibility, cost center management, and detailed variance analysis to enable informed decision-making. The position acts as a strategic and consultative partner to senior leadership, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights supported by strong financial storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end financial planning, budgeting, and quarterly forecasting across multiple business units
- Maintain full ownership of P&L and cost center management
- Deliver detailed variance analysis to support informed decision-making
- Partner with senior leadership as a strategic and consultative advisor
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights through strong financial storytelling
- Develop and present executive-level Power BI dashboards
- Own comprehensive headcount (FTE) reporting and forecasting to ensure staffing plans align with business and financial objectives
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and adherence to financial controls
- Collaborate closely with Finance, IT, Operations, Sales, and Business Partners to drive alignment and financial transparency
- Support strategic initiatives through cross-functional collaboration
- Drive automation, process optimization, and efficiency improvements using advanced Excel, Power Automate, Oracle, and related financial systems
Required Skills
- 6+ years of experience in related field
- Strong expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
- Advanced financial reporting and variance analysis skills with the ability to present insights to senior leadership
- Advanced technical skills in Power BI, Advanced Excel, and financial systems such as Oracle
Preferred Skills:
- Experience driving financial automation and process improvement using Power Automate or similar tools
- Strong consultative and stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and financial storytelling abilities for executive-level presentations
