About the Role

We are looking for a highly driven Solar Sales Engineer who can bridge technical expertise and business impact. This role involves understanding client needs, designing techno-commercial solar solutions, and supporting project closures across innovative products like Solar Trees, Carports, BIPV (Facades, Tiles), and Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS).

You will work closely with leadership and get direct exposure to government, PSU, and large-scale infrastructure projects, making this a high-growth, high-impact opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Techno-Commercial Sales Support

  • Understand client requirements (B2B, B2G, Institutional)
  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals, BOQs, and costing sheets
  • Support tender participation and bid submissions
  • Align solutions with design and execution teams

2. Solution Design & Innovation

  • Assist in designing solar systems (kW to MW scale)
  • Contribute to innovative solutions like:
  • Solar Trees
  • Solar Carports with EV Charging
  • BIPV (Facades, Cladding, Tiles)
  • EaaS / PPA-based projects
  • Coordinate with engineering team for layouts and drawings

3. Client Engagement & Site Work

  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and technical discussions
  • Visit sites for feasibility analysis and data collection
  • Translate complex technical concepts into simple, persuasive solutions

4. Sales Conversion Support

  • Support lead qualification and deal closure
  • Prepare ROI, payback, and savings calculations
  • Follow up with clients for proposal discussions

5. Coordination & Documentation

  • Maintain proposal database, costing sheets, and pipeline tracking
  • Coordinate between Sales, Design, and Execution teams
  • Support smooth project handover

Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of solar systems (Rooftop / BIPV / EPC)
  • Strong skills in Excel, proposal making (AutoCAD is a plus)
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients
  • Strong communication and client-handling skills
  • Ownership mindset and willingness to learn fast
  • Familiarity with AI tools / automation is an added advantage

Preferred Background:

  • B.E./B.Tech – Electrical / Mechanical / Renewable Energy
  • Experience in Solar EPC / Infra / Engineering Sales
  • Freshers with strong fundamentals can also apply
