About the Role
The Portfolio Manager – Business Banking will be responsible for designing and delivering products aligned with the bank’s Business Banking value proposition. This role involves working closely with sales teams to build capabilities, ensure superior customer delivery, and maintain compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines. The Portfolio Manager will also drive product innovation and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Scope and deliver tailored products to meet the Business Banking value proposition.
- Guide and support sales teams to build capabilities and ensure high-quality customer delivery.
- Ensure adherence to compliance standards set by regulatory bodies and internal policies.
- Recommend product innovations and process re-engineering to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Develop micro-market and segment-specific solutions in collaboration with sales teams across geographies.
- Act as a subject matter expert to support capability development and enablement of business banking teams.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Drive service architecture through seamless integration of various support channels including branch banking and phone banking.
- Foster a collaborative work culture between branches, asset teams, and support functions to empower frontline teams.
- Build, grow, and nurture a team of product managers to support business banking initiatives.
Managerial and Leadership Responsibilities
- Promote a collaborative work environment across sales and support teams to deliver customer delight.
- Lead and develop both sales and product teams to achieve business goals and drive innovation.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Graduation: Any discipline
- Post-Graduation: MBA (preferred)
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business banking, product management, or portfolio management.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong understanding of business banking products and customer needs.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
