Role Overview:

ICON plc is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant (Project Finance-Financial Planning & Analysis) to join their diverse and dynamic team. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be leading the Project Finance and Financial Planning & Analysis team with a focus on delivering high-quality results and maintaining a center of excellence. Your role will involve hiring the right talent for your team, providing training to new joiners, and fostering a culture of ownership and values within ICON.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the PFA team to deliver high-quality results and maintain a center of excellence
  • Recruit and onboard team members based on requirements and timelines
  • Provide training and support to new joiners to ensure smooth onboarding
  • Foster a culture of ownership and values within the team
  • Take ownership of study end-to-end, analyzing financial and operational metrics, discussing adverse metrics with Project Managers, and reporting to the Vice President for decision-making
  • Prepare and maintain monthly revenue financial forecasts and budget reconciliations
  • Analyze monthly/quarterly financial results and key performance indicators, preparing insightful commentary and analysis
  • Build strong working relationships with the Project Management group
  • Support the preparation of ad-hoc management presentations

Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in managing teams and performing yearly appraisals
  • Ability to interpret data and convert between formats
  • Numerate with financial understanding
  • Exposure in Project Revenue Business
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office package, particularly Excel
  • Prior experience in Oracle Financial systems, Hyperion, Alteryx, Power BI, etc.
  • Desire to continue financial education (CA, CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant financial education)
  • Professional Accountancy Qualification (CA/CMA/CPA/CWA) is a must
  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience
  • Bachelor's degree or its international equivalent
