Marine Underwriter

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Review and assess marine insurance applications to determine coverage eligibility and premiums.
• Conduct thorough research on vessel specifications, trade routes, and other relevant factors to calculate risk exposure.
• Collaborate with brokers, agents, and clients to resolve issues related to policy coverage and claims processing.
• Analyze complex data sets to identify trends and areas for improvement in the underwriting process.

Job Requirements :

• 2-6 years of experience as a Marine Underwriter or similar role.
• Strong understanding of maritime law, regulations, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in analyzing financial risks associated with shipping operations.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders including brokers, agents, and clients.
