Operations Manager (Operations & Sales) - Waste Management

As an Operations Manager at our company, your primary role will be to oversee solid waste management operations and drive business development initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient on-ground execution, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to organizational growth through new business acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily solid waste management operations across multiple sites, ensuring efficiency and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate with field staff, supervisors, and logistics teams for timely waste collection, segregation, transportation, and disposal
• Track and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as turnaround time, waste recovery rate, and manpower efficiency
• Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of waste processing equipment (e.g., composters, biogas units, TowGo systems)
• Conduct monthly training and awareness sessions for ground staff and client teams as per AMC scope
• Maintain operational records, incident logs, and generate performance reports for management and clients
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across residential societies, commercial establishments, and institutions
• Prepare proposals, presentations, and conduct site assessments for prospective clients
• Collaborate with the business development team to close deals and onboard new sites
• Act as the primary point of contact for key clients; manage escalations and ensure quick resolution
• Deliver periodic reports covering waste metrics, sustainability impact, and compliance
• Conduct review meetings with clients to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback for continuous improvement

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Management, or a related field
• 34 years of experience in waste management, facility management, or similar operational roles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage both field operations and sales responsibilities
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainable waste management practices

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
