Senior Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

DUTIES

• Operate industrial walking-foot and heavy-duty sewing machines with expert-level precision and efficiency
• Assemble complex equine tack and saddle components according to detailed specifications, patterns, and technical processes
• Lead quality control throughout the production process, performing thorough inspections at every stage
• Mentor and support junior team members, sharing best practices and troubleshooting complex sewing challenges
• Contribute to process improvements and help refine assembly techniques as the company grows
• Work collaboratively within a small, dedicated team to meet production targets while maintaining the highest quality standards

QUALIFICATIONS

• A sense of humour!
• Minimum 3+ years of industrial sewing experience (preference given to those with equine, leather, or heavy-duty fabric expertise)
• Advanced proficiency with industrial walking-foot machines and other specialized sewing equipment
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, patterns, written processes, and quality standards
• Demonstrated excellence in producing high-end, durable sewn products
• Passion for equine tack, saddlery, or equestrian products is highly preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance, Apprenticeship

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
