Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Operations Manager based out of Hyderabad to support the deployment, commissioning, and day-to-day management of FMS-LIVE solutions across mining operations in India and the Gulf region. This is not a desk job. We are looking for someone who genuinely understands mining, has been on the ground, knows how equipment behaves, and can speak the same language as the people running the pit.
Key Responsibilities
- Support end-to-end deployment and commissioning of FMS-LIVE systems at client mine sites
- Coordinate VDL hardware fitment, IoT telematics setup, and onboarding with on-ground teams
- Serve as the primary point of contact for operational queries from clients across India and the Gulf
- Monitor fleet performance data and help clients interpret insights from FMS-LIVE dashboards
- Manage project timelines, delivery milestones, and stakeholder communication
- Coordinate with internal engineering, Project Manager and QA teams to resolve on-site technical issues
- Conduct site visits, system audits, and periodic performance reviews
- Prepare and maintain project governance documentation, status reports, and handover notes
- Support client training and user onboarding for FMS-LIVE
- Identify operational risks early and escalate proactively
Qualifications & Experience
- 4 to 5 years of experience in mining operations, fleet management, or related field roles
- Direct, hands-on experience with heavy mining equipment is mandatory (trucks, excavators, graders, or similar HME)
- Hands-on experience with Fleet Management Systems (FMS) is mandatory
- Familiarity with IoT telematics, VDL hardware, or onboard data systems is mandatory
- Prior hands-on experience working in the Gulf region is mandatory (UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, or Qatar)
- English proficiency is mandatory, both written and spoken
- Must be comfortable with 50%+ travel across India and Gulf countries
- PMP certification and/or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is a strong plus
- Arabic language skills are a plus
- Proficient in MS Office and project tracking/reporting tools
