Plant Manager - Needle Punching Operations

1. Overall Plant Management

· Lead and manage the entire plant operations to achieve business goals.

· Ensure smooth functioning of production, quality, maintenance, supply chain and manpower departments.

· Monitor KPIs such as productivity, efficiency, wastage, OEE and throughput.

2. Production & Operations

· Plan, coordinate, and control manufacturing processes to meet production targets.

· Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining high quality standards.

· Optimize resource utilization (manpower, machinery, materials).

· Maintain 5S to the required levels of a modern state of art facility.

3. Quality Control

· Ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance with industry regulations.

· Implement and monitor quality control systems to minimize defects and rework.

· Coordinate with Quality and R&D to support new product development/trials.

· Work with NPD team on technical textile engineering to enhance product characteristics, material NVH performance and achieve raw material savings.

· Maintain all required certifications, audits, and regulatory compliance (ISO/TS/IATF).

4. Safety & Compliance

· Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations within the plant.

· Conduct regular safety audits and training for plant personnel.

· Ensure the plant complies with legal and environmental standards.

5. Maintenance & Infrastructure

· Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines and equipment minimizing machine downtime.

· Maintain safe custody of Plant assets and their condition.

6. Cost Management & Budgeting

· Control operational costs and reduce waste.

· Prepare and manage plant budgets, CAPEX, and OPEX plans.

· Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement lean manufacturing practices.

7. Team Leadership & HR Coordination

· Manage and mentor cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, QA, etc.

· Lead workforce planning, training, and performance management in coordination with HR.

· Build a strong work culture focusing on discipline, teamwork, and accountability.

8. Supply Chain & Inventory

· Ensure proper coordination with procurement, stores, and logistics for uninterrupted production.

· Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures.

9. Strategic Planning

· Contribute to long-term plant strategies in line with company goals.

· Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.)

10. Reporting & Communication

· Report plant performance and KPIs to top management.

· Communicate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and external stakeholders. From time to time, you may be required to travel to other locations of the group’s operations to assist other locations.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
