The Job description is as follows..

1. To operate, monitor, and maintain fire pump systems and associated equipment to ensure 24x7 readiness of firefighting systems as per standard..

Roles & Responsibility

2. Daily Operations -

• Start/stop diesel engine and electric motor driven fire pumps as per SOP
• Maintain jockey pump pressure in prescribed limits 7 kg/cm²
• Check water levels in fire water tanks/reservoirs and ensure adequate reserve is available 24x7
• Record pressure readings of hydrant and sprinkler systems every shift

3. Inspection & Testing

• Conduct daily/weekly pump tests: auto-start test, flow test, churn test
• Inspect diesel tank fuel level, battery voltage, lube oil, coolant
• Check valves alignment: suction, discharge, test line, isolation valves
• Test fire alarm panel, hooter, MCP, and pump house communication systems

4. Maintenance Coordination -

• Perform preventive maintenance: greasing, belt tension, strainer cleaning
• Coordinate with maintenance team for major repairs of pumps/engines
• maintan hose box & hose reels are intact & ready to use.
• Maintain logbook for fuel consumption, running hours, defects, breakdowns

5. Emergency Response -

• Operate pumps immediately during fire emergency or fire drills
• Isolate faulty section and inform Safety Head/ Unit Head without delay.
• Ensure pump house access is clear and fire extinguishers are charged..

Pay: ₹18,000.00 per month
