HighRadius has been consistently recognized as a market leader by Gartner, IDC, and Forrester.</p> <p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p> <p>We are looking for a highly experienced <strong>Engineering Manager</strong> with deep expertise in <strong>Java-based enterprise systems</strong> and a proven track record of <strong>leading high-performing engineering teams</strong>. This role requires a strong hands-on technical foundation combined with people leadership, architectural ownership, and delivery excellence in a <strong>B2B SaaS product environment</strong>.</p> <p>You will be responsible for building scalable, high-quality systems, mentoring engineers, driving engineering best practices, and partnering closely with Product, QA, and Architecture teams to deliver business-critical outcomes.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><strong>Technical Leadership &amp; Architecture</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide technical direction and hands-on guidance in <strong>Java, Core Java, OOP, and enterprise design patterns</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Design, review, and evolve <strong>scalable microservices-based architectures</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Drive best practices in <strong>data structures, algorithms, multithreading, concurrency, and performance optimization</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Lead architectural and design reviews; ensure adherence to coding standards and system reliability</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure high availability, scalability, security, and performance of backend systems</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Engineering Execution</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Own end-to-end delivery of features—from design to production rollout</p> </li> <li> <p>Conduct <strong>deep, high-quality code reviews</strong> and enforce clean code principles</p> </li> <li> <p>Partner with DevOps teams on CI/CD, release readiness, and production stability</p> </li> <li> <p>Drive defect prevention, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>People &amp; Team Management</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Manage, mentor, and grow a team of <strong>5–10 engineers</strong> (Senior Engineers, Leads)</p> </li> <li> <p>Set clear goals, conduct performance reviews, and create development plans</p> </li> <li> <p>Foster a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, accountability, and excellence</p> </li> <li> <p>Actively participate in hiring, onboarding, and building long-term team capability</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Work closely with <strong>Product Managers</strong> to translate business requirements into technical solutions</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate with QA, Architecture, Security, and Support teams for seamless execution</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide accurate delivery estimates, manage risks, and communicate status effectively to leadership</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Experience</strong></p> <p><strong>Must-Have Technical Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>12+ years of strong hands-on experience in <strong>Java development</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Expert-level knowledge of:</p> </li> <ul> <li> <p><strong>Core Java, OOP, Data Structures &amp; Algorithms</strong></p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate / JPA</strong></p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Multithreading, concurrency, memory management</strong></p> </li> <li> <p><strong>Microservices architecture and REST APIs</strong></p> </li> </ul> <li> <p>Strong experience in <strong>code reviews, refactoring, and design optimization</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience working on <strong>large-scale, enterprise SaaS platforms</strong></p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Leadership &amp; Management</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>3–6+ years of experience in <strong>engineering people management</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Proven ability to lead teams of <strong>5–10 engineers</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Experience driving delivery in fast-paced, product-focused environments</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Good to Have</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Exposure to <strong>cloud platforms</strong> (AWS / Azure)</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices</p> </li> <li> <p>Prior experience in <strong>FinTech, B2B SaaS, or enterprise platforms</strong></p> </li> <li> <p>Knowledge of system observability, monitoring, and production support</p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
