Manufacturing Engineer

Henry Repeating Arms, an American made only company is a leader in the firearms industry for individual and sporting markets and are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer at our Ladysmith, WI Facility. The ME is responsible for planning and conducting professional engineering work within a team, to manage and improve the manufacturing process and workflows.

Primary Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements
• Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process
• Create processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary and performance goals
• Assist in the development of new products and product proto-types, mock-ups, tests, and evaluations alongside the Design Engineering team
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaboration and cohesion
• Establishes effective and efficient work sequences
• Devise new creative approaches, root cause analysis, failure analysis and solutions to existing manufacturing problems
• Adheres to established product plans and schedules
• Develop standardized design criteria across all product lines
• Provides technical support to internal departments as well as external customers
• Participate with a team in the design and development of tooling concepts, processes, machines and continuous improvement
• Stays current and aware of new technology and changing properties of existing and new materials, which could benefit our processes

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated skills in 3D/solid modeling using Solidworks, or a compatible CAD system, Microsoft Office programs, and Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances is necessary.
• Education or experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement programs desired.
