Physical Therapist travel assignment in a hospital setting located in Baltimore, Maryland. The start date is May 11, 2026, for a 13-week assignment with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Responsibilities
- Under general supervision of a physical therapist, assist patients in reaching maximum physical potential and implement prescribed therapeutic interventions.
- Treat patients using appropriate physical therapy techniques and ensure progress is documented in the EMR.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning; contribute to rounds and care coordination.
- Demonstrate competency in treating multiple patient populations within the acute care setting, including at least one high-risk population.
- Prioritize patient scheduling, manage an average caseload per productivity standards, and monitor patient status with timely communication to the supervising PT.
- Utilize standardized tests to support documentation and track patient progress; alert the supervising PT to any changes in status.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and professional communication with patients, families, and team members.
- Maintain proficiency in EMR navigation and adherence to the Maryland Physical Therapy Practice Act as applicable.
Requirements
- Active Maryland license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) [REQUIRED]
- 1+ year of current Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) experience [REQUIRED]
- Acute care experience is highly preferred
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification [REQUIRED]
- COVID-19 vaccine documentation required [REQUIRED]
- Proficiency in EMR navigation and ability to follow established treatment plans
- Ability to work in an acute care hospital setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
