Procurement & Vendor Relations Specialist

As a Procurement Lead at Healsway Systems Solution, your role will involve managing end-to-end sourcing operations for premium, sustainably sourced timber and artisanal materials essential for hand-carved furniture. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for high-quality hardwoods that meet specific carving requirements and design standards.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable timber suppliers and artisanal hardware vendors. Foster long-term relationships to ensure a consistent supply chain.
• Ensure all wood is sustainably sourced from well-managed forests, prioritizing FSC-certified or reclaimed materials. Maintain compliance with local and international timber regulations.
• Lead negotiations for pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to maximize value without compromising quality.
• Conduct site visits and factory inspections to verify the moisture content, grain quality, and grade of timber before purchase.
• Coordinate with Production and Warehouse teams to forecast demand and manage stock levels efficiently.
• Track and report key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and procurement cycle times.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within the luxury furniture or woodworking industry.
• Deep understanding of wood species, timber grading, and the impact of seasoning on carving.
• Proven negotiation skills with both large-scale timber mills and small-scale artisanal vendors.
• Proficiency in data analysis and ERP/procurement software for spend analysis and forecasting.
• Strong commitment to sustainable and ethical sourcing practices.
• Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
