GCP platform engineer

Salary: $76,000 - 116,000 per year

Requirements

• Experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud connectivity and data security standards
• Understanding of AI-enabled workloads and data governance
• Prior experience in enterprise-level cloud architecture and deployment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
• Relevant certifications in Google Cloud or related fields are a plus

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain GCP landing zones in accordance with governance standards
• Construct and manage shared cloud services to support both AI and non-AI applications
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to facilitate platform, networking, and AI service deployment
• Provide support for secure data access and hybrid connectivity for AI applications
• Engineer and manage Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters for application and AI inference
• Enable containerized AI services and microservices using sanctioned base images
• Support GPU-enabled workloads as required
• Establish standardized deployment patterns for AI APIs and services
• Activate and manage approved Google AI services, including Vertex AI
• Collaborate with Cloud, Data & AI teams, Information Security, and Risk teams to ensure regulatory compliance
